About Tharisa

Tharisa is a JSE- and London-listed integrated resources group producing platinum-group metals (PGMs) and chrome concentrates from its Tharisa mine on South Africa's Bushveld Complex, where the two commodities occur together. This co-production of PGMs and chrome gives it a distinctive, partly diversified revenue base. Tharisa's earnings are geared to PGM basket and chrome prices and the rand, and it is developing additional projects, including the Karo platinum project in Zimbabwe, to grow output. For investors it offers exposure to both PGMs — used in catalytic converters — and chrome, a key input for stainless-steel production, from a single low-cost operation.
