About Sasol

Sasol is a global integrated chemicals and energy company built on South Africa's unique coal- and gas-to-liquids technology. It converts coal and natural gas into liquid fuels, chemicals and other products, operating the large Secunda synthetic-fuels complex in South Africa and chemical operations in the United States (its Lake Charles project) and elsewhere. A JSE Top 40 company, Sasol's earnings are geared to the oil price, chemical prices, refining margins and the rand, and it carries significant debt and environmental obligations given its carbon-intensive base. It is pursuing emissions reduction and diversification while remaining central to South African fuel supply.
