About Absa Group

Absa Group is one of South Africa's 'big four' banks and one of Africa's largest financial-services groups. Its brands include Absa's everyday banking, cheque and credit-card products, home and vehicle finance, and the corporate and investment bank. Listed on the JSE, Absa competes head-to-head with Standard Bank, FirstRand and Nedbank for South African banking customers, and earns much of its profit from lending margins, transaction fees and its growing insurance and wealth operations.
